Duties * Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, dental procedures, and diagnostic testing. * Induce, monitor, and recover patients safely under anesthesia. * Collect, process, and analyze laboratory samples, including blood, urine, cytology, and other diagnostic specimens. * Perform radiography, place and maintain intravenous catheters, administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as prescribed. * Provide compassionate nursing care and patient monitoring before, during, and after procedures. * Educate pet owners on medications, post-operative care, nutrition, and preventive healthcare. * Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in accordance with clinic protocols. * Assist with inventory management, ensuring appropriate stocking and storage of pharmaceuticals, medical supplies, and equipment. * Support a clean, safe, and efficient hospital environment. Qualifications * Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) in good standing (or eligible for registration in Ontario). * Strong knowledge of veterinary nursing, anesthesia, laboratory diagnostics, and patient care. * Excellent communication and client service skills. * Ability to prioritize tasks and remain organized in a fast-paced environment. * Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to teamwork. * Compassion for animals and their owners, with a dedication to providing exceptional patient care.
