Remote Patient Account Representative (Home Health & Hospice)

Prestige Staffing is searching for a healthcare vendor is seeking an Account Representative for contract to potential hire. The ideal candidate should have health insurance experience in medical claims billing as well as insurance follow-up for home health and hospice facilities. This is a remote position. Normal business hours Monday – Friday with some flexibility based on your availability. Pay $20.00 - $23.00 per hour based on experience and equipment is provided. Must be set up at home with a designated quiet work space and high speed internet. Details Pay $20.00 - $23.00 per hour based on experience Equipment is provided yet must be set up at home with a designated quiet work space and high speed internet Equipment is provided Criminal background required Requirements: 3 years Billing and insurance follow up of medical claims in home health Hospice billing and insurance follow-up is a plus 3 years experience using Meditech, Allscripts, EPIC or Cerner experience preferred Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) Comfortable communicating in writing or on phone with hospital staff and management Work with insurance companies on an as needed basis to determine status of payment on claim submissions Worked with clearing houses Worked on denied claims as well as insurance follow up experience Provide required information and documents to clients. Submit client meeting reports to manager or supervisor. Provide support and assistance to other teams/staff. Provide feedback to management on areas of improvements. Initiate measures to research and resolve client raised issues. Collaborate with clients to identify and implement value added services.
