Zone: Eastern Rural ZoneLocation: Multi-Site (Clarenville/Bonavista to Burin Peninsula)Respiratory Therapist II (FLOAT)Regional Medicine Program - Respiratory TherapyTemporary Full-time (Until December 21, 2026, with possibility of extension)AAHP24509RP1Hours: 75 bi-weekly (12 hours, 8 hours, Shift Work; Days, Evenings, Nights, On-Call, Weekends)Salary: CG-38 (CAD 43.16 - CAD 49.89 per hour, which includes any negotiated wage adjustment and/or supplement as applicable) Competition Number: VAC0027640Posted Date: 2026-08-06Closing Date: Open until filled.Job SummaryThe Respiratory Therapist's responsibilities will include but are not limited to: airway management, mechanical ventilation, arrest and trauma response teams, patient transport, and pulmonary diagnostics for Adult, Pediatric and Neonatal populations.This position will support virtual ERs at Category B sites including other on-site services as necessary, in the geographical region from Clarenville/Bonavista to and including the Burin Peninsula. This position will have a home base at the Dr. G.B Cross Memorial Hospital. The applicant will play a key role in planned Virtual ER to assist with airway management and other patient care needs as part of the rural health care team. This will require overnight stays at the various Category B sites (Bonavista, Burin) throughout the region.When the applicant is not required to provide service to a Category B site, they will support Respiratory Therapy services at their home site.This position will report to Division Manager, Melissa Goodland and maintain accountability to the Professional Practice Consultant for Respiratory Therapy for professional integrity and practice issues.The successful applicant will work on a 12-hour rotation schedule and on-call will be required.
