retail sales associate

We are a growing, family-run retail pet store and treat producer with a focus on raw pet food looking for a bright, motivated and hard-working individual with a strong sense of customer service to join our team as a retail sales associate and production assistant. Our customers are pet parents so our ideal candidate loves dogs and cats, has experience working with pets, and has a knowledge of raw pet food. Responsibilities include: * Greeting and serving customers with genuine care and a positive attitude; * Facing shelves, merchandising and ensuring the store is clean and presentable at all times; * Assisting with ordering and receiving; * Assisting customers looking for the right products for their pets in store, on the phone and via email; * Preparing and dehydrating raw meats for pet treats; * Packaging and labelling raw meats for pet food, as well as dehydrated meats for pet treats; * Other responsibilities as required. Knowledge of raw pet food and natural pet health supplements is a big bonus as our customers are looking for guidance in those areas. Our ideal candidate is a reliable, sunny personality, learns quickly, enjoys helping people and loves dogs and other pets. Position available immediately. Salary negotiable and commensurate with experience.
