Jr. Scrum Master SwiftHire LLC | New York, NY (Onsite) | Contract Visa: Any(OPT also works) About the Role SwiftHire LLC is looking for an energetic Jr. Scrum Master to support our Agile delivery teams onsite in New York. This is a hands-on role for someone early in their Agile career who's ready to facilitate ceremonies, remove blockers, and help teams ship predictably. You'll work alongside experienced Scrum Masters, product owners, and engineers to keep sprints running smoothly and continuously improve how teams work. What You'll Do Facilitate core Scrum ceremonies — daily standups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. Help the team identify, track, and remove impediments that slow delivery, escalating when needed. Maintain sprint boards, burndown charts, and velocity metrics in Jira (or similar), keeping data accurate and visible. Support the Product Owner with backlog grooming, story readiness, and sprint scope management. Protect the team from scope creep and outside distractions so they can stay focused on sprint goals. Foster a collaborative, self-organizing team culture and coach members on Agile/Scrum practices. Track and report on team progress, risks, and dependencies to stakeholders. Continuously look for ways to improve team processes, velocity, and delivery quality. What We're Looking For 2-4 years of experience in an Agile environment, with at least 1+ year in a Scrum Master, Agile coordinator, or similar facilitation role. Solid working knowledge of Scrum and Agile principles, ceremonies, and artifacts. Hands-on experience with Agile tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or Rally. Strong communication, facilitation, and organizational skills. Ability to work onsite in New York and collaborate face-to-face with cross-functional teams. A proactive, people-first mindset with genuine interest in helping teams succeed. Nice to Have CSM, PSM I, or other Agile certification (not required — support provided to help you earn one). Exposure to software development, product, or technology delivery teams. Familiarity with Kanban or scaled Agile (SAFe) frameworks. Education Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field — or equivalent practical experience.
