Location: Larkin Bldg @ Exchange Street Location of Job : US:NY:Buffalo Work Type : Full-Time Shift 1 Job Description As a security analyst, you will report on security breaches, install software to protect sensitive information, monitor the company's network to watch for and prevent breaches, create and implement a security plan, as well as run regular simulated cyber attacks to assess the strength and vulnerability of computer systems. This job is well-suited to tech-savvy professionals who enjoy creatively thinking about new solutions, coding, and exploring new tech. A solid understanding of how systems and networks operate can be critical to success in the field. Education And Credentials Bachelors Degree (in Information Systems, Business, or equivalent field) and four years experience, OR, if no degree, seven years relevant experience required. Certified Information Systems Security Professional (ISC)2 or Certified Information Systems Auditor preferred. Experience Four years of experience in security management, or systems, and network architecture, design, and management Three years systems architecture and network design. Two years security design and implementation experience (including firewalls) in a large-scale distributed enterprise Experience with enterprise-class technologies including firewalls, routers, switches, wireless access points, VPNs, desktop and server operating systems, SIEM, WAF, DLP, EDR, web gateways, and physical security. Project management and organizational skills with demonstrated ability to complete assignments timely and effectively. Excellent written and oral communications skills Exceptional customer service, consultative, and listening skills Solid foundation in security principles and their application Experience with security issues surrounding carrier circuits, virtual private networks, and other communications technologies Knowledge of client and network operating systems (e.g., Windows, Unix) Experience with network security tools and practices Solid foundation in network security management; including protocols, operating systems, network firewalls, application gateways and intrusion detection and testing methods. Experienced in security awareness programs. Heath care systems experience preferred. Knowledge of specific medical confidentiality issues and relevant regulations and laws preferred. Proficient user of standard office automation tools preferred. Masters Degree in Information Systems, Business, Engineering, Nursing/Medical, or equivalent field Training and experience with Microsoft Windows planning and implementation preferred. Experience in large-scale wide-area network deployment preferred. Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (Windows, Exchange, SQL Server) preferred. Knowledge of health care application suites preferred. Knowledge and experience with implementing and using Network management software preferred. Ability to perform detailed firewall, router, and other security defense systems installation, configuration, management, and maintenance preferred. Prior internal audit, medical records, or security audit experience.
