Security Analyst

Hiring: Security Analyst (W2 only) Location: Columbia, SC (Onsite) We are seeking a hands-on Security Analyst to support enterprise cybersecurity operations within a Security Operations Center (SOC) environment . Key Responsibilitie s:• Investigate and respond to daily security and network alert s.• Perform network security assessments for firewall and infrastructure change s.• Analyze on-premises and cloud environments for potential threat s.• Monitor and review network traffic, security events, and compliance violation s.• Participate in firewall configuration reviews and ruleset recertificatio n.• Support network security planning, engineering, and enhancement project s.• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement security control s.• Monitor emerging cyber threats and recommend mitigation strategie s.• Assist with security reporting, KPI development, and compliance initiative s. Required Skil ls:• 3–5 years of experience in network design, implementation, or suppo rt.• Hands-on experience in cybersecurity, information security, or system administrati on.• Knowledge of secure network architecture, data protection, and access control mode ls.• Experience with enterprise firewalls, IDS/IPS, network auditing, and security monitori ng.• Ability to analyze security logs, alerts, and network telemet ry.• Experience with Windows, Linux, and macOS environmen ts. Preferred Experie nce:• SIEM platforms such as Splunk or QRa dar.• Vulnerability management tools such as Nessus or Qua lys.• Cloud security experience in AWS or Azure environme nts.• Knowledge of NIST, FISMA, HIPAA, CMS ARC-AMPE, and related compliance framewo rks.• Experience working in healthcare, government, or highly regulated environme nts. Education & Certificat ions:• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experie nce).• CCNA, PCNSE, or similar network security certifica tion.• Security+ or CISSP prefe rred.
