Title: Security Engineer Job Type: Contract / Full-Time Location: Minnesota Send resumes to: hr@irow9.com More roles: www.irow9.com/careers Overview The Security Engineer serves as a key technical leader within the Information Security team and is responsible for implementing, configuring, tuning, and supporting the Council’s security tools and services. This role also helps the organization stay current with emerging cyber threats, technologies, and security best practices. Key Responsibilities Implement, configure, tune, and support security tools and services Monitor the threat landscape and recommend technologies and controls for emerging risks Integrate security solutions with infrastructure and applications Perform health checks, upgrades, patching, and validation of detections and security coverage Collaborate with Information Services teams to embed security by design Maintain runbooks, documentation, configurations, and operational procedures Support audits, compliance efforts, and knowledge transfer Qualifications 5+ years of experience in a security role Advanced certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, OSCP, or equivalent 3+ years of experience with frameworks and compliance standards such as NIST, CJIS, HIPAA, PCI, GDPR, and CIS Controls 3+ years of experience in zero-trust, cloud security, IAM, endpoint protection, and/or network segmentation Experience in identity governance, privileged access management (PAM), and multi-factor authentication (MFA) solutions
