Job Title: Senior Accountant Location: Toronto, Ontario Industry: Financial Services (Family Office) About the Role We are partnering with a private, multi-entity family office seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to support day-to-day financial operations across a diverse portfolio of entities, trusts, and investments. This role offers close interaction with senior leadership and exposure to a broad range of investment activities. It is well-suited for someone who thrives in a hands-on, fast-paced environment and enjoys balancing operational accounting with more complex financial responsibilities. Key Responsibilities Full-Cycle Accounting Manage full-cycle accounting for multiple entities, including corporations and trusts Record all financial transactions, including multi-currency and investment activity Perform monthly bank and account reconciliations Prepare journal entries, accruals, and year-end adjustments Investments & Multi-Entity Tracking Record and monitor investment activity across various asset classes (e.g., equities, fixed income, partnerships) Account for foreign exchange and cross-border transactions Track and reconcile intercompany balances and transactions Cash Management & Payments Oversee day-to-day cash flow and banking activities Prepare and process payments, including wires and other disbursements Ensure appropriate documentation, approvals, and controls are maintained Accounts Payable & Administration Process invoices and maintain well-organized financial records Ensure all transactions are accurately recorded and supported Assist with administrative and ad hoc financial responsibilities as needed Year-End & Tax Support Prepare year-end working papers and account reconciliations Coordinate with external advisors on corporate, trust, and personal tax filings Compile documentation and respond to audit and tax-related requests Qualifications & Experience CPA designation (or equivalent) required Experience in full-cycle accounting within a multi-entity, family office, or similar environment Strong accounting foundation with the ability to manage complex transactions Exposure to investment accounting and multi-currency environments Proficiency with accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks or similar) and advanced Excel skills Working knowledge of Canadian tax principles is an asset What We're Looking For Hands-on, detail-oriented professional comfortable balancing routine and complex work Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities Ability to operate with discretion and handle sensitive financial information Strong communication skills and confidence working with senior stakeholders Self-motivated individual with an ownership mindset and the ability to work independently
