POSITION: SENIOR BACKEND DEVELOPER (DJANGO) Location: Onsite, Kupondole, lalitpur Employment Type: Full Time About the Role Prixa Technologies is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Backend Developer (Django) to join our growing engineering team. We build enterprise-grade software solutions that serve high-volume users and complex business requirements. The ideal candidate will be passionate about designing scalable systems, writing clean and maintainable code, and delivering robust backend architectures capable of handling production-scale workloads. As a Senior Backend Developer, you will work across multiple products, collaborate closely with frontend engineers, DevOps professionals, AI engineers, and project stakeholders, and play a key role in designing and developing mission-critical applications. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using Django and Python. Build and optimize RESTful APIs using Django REST Framework. Architect backend systems with a focus on performance, security, scalability, and maintainability. Design and manage complex database schemas and optimize database performance. Collaborate with AI/ML teams to integrate intelligent features into products. Work closely with frontend developers to ensure seamless integration between frontend and backend systems. Implement authentication, authorization, and role-based access control mechanisms. Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application performance bottlenecks and production issues. Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers. Contribute to technical architecture discussions and system design decisions. Ensure adherence to coding standards, security best practices, and software development processes. Maintain technical documentation and support deployment activities when required. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. Minimum 3+ years of professional experience in backend development using Django. Strong expertise in Python, Django, Django ORM, and Django REST Framework . Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), Design Patterns, Data Structures, and Algorithms. Experience working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or equivalent. Strong understanding of database optimization, indexing, and query performance tuning. Experience integrating third-party APIs and external services. Knowledge of authentication and authorization systems across distributed applications. Strong understanding of software architecture principles and scalable system design. Proficiency with Git and modern version control workflows. Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. PREFERRED QUALIFICATION Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or Azure. Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized application deployment. Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment workflows. Experience with asynchronous task processing tools such as Celery and Redis. Knowledge of caching strategies and performance optimization techniques. Familiarity with microservices architecture. Exposure to AI/ML integrations and data-driven applications. Experience with Flask or other Python frameworks is an added advantage.
