About the Role Design and build backend services powering fintech and SaaS products for healthcare customers Develop scalable APIs and database schemas for new product features Build and maintain Node.js applications with a focus on performance, reliability, and security Investigate and resolve production issues in partnership with Customer Support Estimate development effort and proactively communicate progress, risks, and blockers Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to deliver new functionality Contribute to architectural decisions and engineering best practices as the platform continues to scale Help shape a rapidly growing product roadmap while working in a high-performance, collaborative engineering culture Requirements 5+ years of professional JavaScript development experience 5+ years developing backend applications with Node.js 2+ years working with Express.js or similar backend frameworks Experience designing and building RESTful APIs Strong experience with PostgreSQL and relational database design Solid understanding of backend architecture and scalable system design Experience building applications in the fintech, payments, banking, lending, or marketplace space strongly preferred Comfortable troubleshooting production issues and collaborating across technical and non-technical teams Self-starter who takes ownership, communicates effectively, and thrives in a fast-moving environment Compensation & Benefits Base salary: $160,000–$240,000, depending on experience and location Performance bonus opportunity Equity participation Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage 401(k) with employer match Hybrid work schedule (4 days in-office, 1 remote)
