Senior Healthcare Data Science Analyst – Reimbursement & Contracting 📍 Hybrid – 3 days/week in office About the Role We're partnering with a large, highly respected Integrated Delivery System to hire a Senior Data Science Analyst with deep revenue cycle and reimbursement expertise . This role sits at the intersection of finance, payer contracting, and revenue operations — ideal for someone who has lived inside hospital, health system, or payer revenue cycle functions and understands how reimbursement decisions ripple through the entire financial picture. You'll work closely with finance, contracting, and executive leadership to evaluate payer contracts, reimbursement models, and revenue cycle performance — driving optimization and long-term financial strategy across a complex provider environment. While exposure to value-based care is a plus, this role is fundamentally grounded in FFS economics, revenue cycle analytics, and reimbursement strategy. What You'll Do Analyze payer contracts and reimbursement methodologies (Medicare, commercial, managed care) Build models to evaluate contract performance, revenue cycle trends, and financial impact Identify revenue opportunities, reimbursement variances, denial/underpayment patterns, and optimization strategies Partner with contracting, revenue cycle, and finance teams to support negotiations and strategic planning Develop executive-level reporting and insights to guide decision-making Lead complex analytical initiatives and mentor junior team members What We're Looking For 7+ years of experience in healthcare financial analytics, revenue cycle , medical economics, or reimbursement analysis Strong expertise in fee-for-service (FFS) reimbursement, payer contracting, and revenue cycle operations Background in a hospital, health system, health plan, or ACO revenue cycle or reimbursement function Experience with Medicare, CMS reimbursement structures, and commercial payers Advanced SQL skills and experience working with large healthcare datasets Experience with Tableau, Power BI, or similar BI tools Familiarity with EPIC Clarity/Caboodle, EPIC Resolute, or similar hospital revenue cycle systems is a plus Nice to Have Exposure to value-based care models (VBC) Experience supporting contract negotiations or scenario modeling Why This Role Highly visible, strategic work — not just reporting Direct impact on revenue and financial performance Collaborative, mission-driven healthcare environment Opportunity to influence contracting and revenue cycle strategy at scale
