Senior DevOps Engineer - Fully Remote - Contract-to-hire - Healthcare Company

We're hiring a Senior DevOps Engineer to own deployment, automation, and release management for our enterprise Databricks platform on Azure. This role bridges architecture, platform engineering, and delivery teams — building the CI/CD pipelines and promotion processes that move changes through dev, test, and production reliably, securely, and with the auditability a healthcare environment demands. You'll build and maintain pipelines in Azure DevOps for Databricks workloads and Azure Data Factory artifacts across environment tiers. You'll implement release gating, approval workflows, and rollback procedures that balance speed with governance. You'll automate provisioning using Terraform, Bicep, or Databricks Asset Bundles, operationalize guardrails around access controls, secrets management, and cost policies, and define the promotion standards and branching strategies that keep environments consistent. Observability around pipeline health and deployment success, along with runbooks that enable teams to self-serve, round out the scope. This is a fully remote contract for 3 months initially, and you must reside in the Central or Eastern time zone in the United States. Opportunity for conversion to full time or a long term contract is highly likely. Rate listed is C2C rate through candidate's own LLC. They'll need someone who's fully authorized to work in the US without any sponsorship / visa (cannot support H1B).
