Senior Embedded Firmware Engineer – C++ & RTOS Location: Mayfield Heights, OH Employment Type: Full-Time Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Embedded Firmware Engineer with strong experience in C++, firmware development, and RTOS-based embedded systems . The ideal candidate will design, develop, test, and troubleshoot embedded software solutions for complex electronic systems. This role requires strong hands-on experience in embedded programming, hardware-software integration, and developing reliable firmware for production environments. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain embedded firmware using C/C++ programming languages. Develop and optimize firmware applications for real-time embedded systems. Work with RTOS environments to build reliable and scalable embedded solutions. Perform debugging, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis of firmware and hardware issues. Collaborate with electrical, hardware, and system engineering teams during product development. Develop and maintain software documentation, design specifications, and test procedures. Perform firmware testing, validation, and performance optimization. Support product lifecycle activities including design improvements and issue resolution. Utilize Python scripting for automation, testing, and development support. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. 5+ years of experience in embedded firmware development. Strong programming skills in C/C++. Hands-on experience working with RTOS-based systems. Experience with embedded systems architecture, debugging, and hardware integration. Strong understanding of microcontrollers, embedded processors, and communication protocols. Experience with firmware testing and troubleshooting methodologies. Preferred Qualifications Experience developing firmware for industrial, automotive, robotics, or electronic products. Experience with Python scripting for automation or testing. Knowledge of embedded debugging tools and development environments. Experience working closely with hardware engineering teams.
