Location: Remote Clearance: ActiveSecret Take2 Consulting is a boutique IT consulting firm delivering innovative technology solutions to the Federal Government. We support mission-critical programs through cloud, DevSecOps, cybersecurity, and modern software engineering. We are seeking an experienced Senior Kubernetes Platform Engineer to design, secure, automate, and maintain enterprise Kubernetes environments supporting mission-critical software delivery. Key Responsibilities Design, deploy, secure, and maintain highly available Kubernetes clusters across cloud and on-premises environments. Lead Kubernetes lifecycle management including upgrades, patching, scaling, and performance tuning. Automate infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Ansible) and CI/CD pipelines. Develop and maintain Helm charts and containerized application deployments. Deploy and support workloads in AWS EKS, Azure AKS, Google GKE, and OCI. Implement Kubernetes security best practices including RBAC, network policies, and container security. Monitor environments using Prometheus, Grafana, logging, and observability tools. Troubleshoot production issues and publish Root Cause Analyses (RCAs). Establish SRE metrics including SLOs, SLIs, and reliability objectives. Support disaster recovery, compliance (NIST, CIS Benchmarks, FedRAMP), and mentor junior engineers. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent experience. 8+ years of Kubernetes engineering experience. 2+ years of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) experience. Strong Kubernetes administration in production environments. Experience with Docker, Helm, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, and cloud-native technologies. Experience with AWS EKS, Azure AKS, Google GKE, or OCI. Strong understanding of cloud networking, distributed systems, and DevSecOps. Experience working in Agile environments. Active Secret clearance. U.S. Citizenship. Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in Computer Science or related field. Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), CKAD, or KCNA.
