Confidential Chicago-Area Organization Location: Northern Chicago Suburbs Work Arrangement: Hybrid with regular onsite presence Employment Type: Full Time Compensation: $115,000 to $125,000 Position Overview A well-established organization is seeking a hands-on Senior Microsoft ERP Integration Developer to support the continued expansion and modernization of its enterprise business systems. This position will focus on developing custom functionality within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, building integrations with internal and third-party applications, and improving the organization's broader ERP environment. This is a technical development position requiring strong coding, integration, and troubleshooting capabilities. It is not primarily a functional configuration or business analyst role. Key Responsibilities Design and develop custom functionality and extensions for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. Build and maintain integrations between Business Central and internal and external business applications. Develop and support APIs, REST-based services, data interfaces, and automated system workflows. Translate business and technical requirements into scalable software solutions. Troubleshoot, optimize, and maintain existing customizations, extensions, and integrations. Support system enhancements, upgrades, migrations, and continuous improvement initiatives. Collaborate with application, infrastructure, data, and business teams on enterprise technology projects. Develop technical specifications, system documentation, and integration diagrams. Apply software-development standards related to security, performance, maintainability, and source control. Provide ongoing technical support for critical ERP functionality and integrations. Required Qualifications Strong hands-on development experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. Demonstrated proficiency developing extensions and custom functionality using AL. Experience designing and developing APIs and enterprise system integrations. Experience working with REST-based services, SQL, and Microsoft development technologies. Experience integrating Business Central with other enterprise applications and data platforms. Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and software-development skills. Ability to translate business needs into maintainable technical solutions. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work effectively with technical and nontechnical stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications Experience across the broader Microsoft Dynamics 365 ecosystem. Familiarity with Microsoft Azure, Power Platform, and workflow automation technologies. Experience supporting an ERP implementation, migration, upgrade, or modernization initiative. Experience working within an organization with complex operational, financial, inventory, or transactional processes. Familiarity with integrations involving CRM, warehouse management, EDI, e-commerce, or Microsoft productivity platforms. A background in finance or accounting is strongly preferred. Compensation and Benefits The anticipated base salary range for this position is $115,000 to $125,000, depending on experience, technical qualifications, education, and other business considerations.
