Description

We're working with a fast-growing biotech start-up that is redefining DNA sequencing, built around speed, accuracy, and making science accessible. Their tools are used by thousands of researchers daily, from Nobel Prize-winning labs to early-stage start-ups. They tripled in size last couple of years through revenue-driven growth and are now hiring a Product Manager to take ownership of their flagship sequencing portfolio. This is a commercial-first PM role. While an understanding of the sequencing workflow is important, we are looking for someone with sharp commercial instinct: pricing strategy, competitive positioning, and finding the growth that's hiding inside an established, high-volume customer base. Experience level : flexible → it will be a senior level role, but open on title/seniority for the right person. What matters more than years on a CV is a demonstrated track record of moving revenue. What you'll need to bring: Proven experience owning pricing strategy — not just an annual price review, but real fluency in packaging, elasticity, and how pricing ties into positioning Sharp competitive analysis instincts — genuine knowledge of the genomics/sequencing market, who's moving where, and how to build a credible response A track record of driving revenue growth on an existing product, not just shipping new features Strong genomics market knowledge — fluency in customer needs, buying behaviour, and where the space is heading Comfort owning a product end-to-end : roadmap, GTM, and cross-functional alignment with Sales, Marketing, and R&D Who tends to thrive in this kind of role: PMs from life sciences/biotech who've owned a mature, established product and have the commercial scar tissue to show for it People who think as much about "why would a customer choose us over the alternative" as they do about feature prioritisation Anyone who's run pricing experiments, repositioned a product, or built a competitive response and can talk through what actually worked This is a high-visibility, foundational role, you'd own one of the company's most established, highest-volume product lines, work directly with leadership, and help shape how commercial strategy gets built into the product function from here. Location: Remote, ideally West Coast or Mountain time zone. Reach out or send your profile to kdavis@inveniagroup.com, I'm happy to share more details before you apply. Show more Show less
