We are seeking a seasoned Contract Senior QA Engineer to join our forward-thinking development team. In this role, you will help us pioneer an AI-driven software development lifecycle (SDLC ).You will own our regression testing strategy, keeping our automated test suites optimized, accurate, and lean to guarantee seamless production deployments. This position functions as a development-centric quality partner. You will work within an ecosystem that heavily utilizes AI-assisted coding and automated test generation via tools like Cursor and Claud e.Additionally, you will collaborate with another quality developer and mentor university interns to help cultivate a high-standard quality cultur e. Core Responsibilit iesOwn Regression Testing: Oversee the review, strategy, and maintenance of our UI-layer regression test suite utilizing Report Port al.Automate & Maintain: Update existing automated test scripts and author new ones as the product evolv es.Debug & Diagnose: Analyze application logs to investigate test failures, pinpoint root causes, and guide engineers toward resolutio ns.Write Feature Code: Spend roughly 25% of your time contributing directly to application-level UI code updates alongside the dev te am.Advance AI Workflows: Champion our AI-forward engineering culture by leveraging next-generation tools for code generation and test creati on. What You O fferQA Expertise: A strong background in software quality engineering with deep test automation experie nce.Tech Stack: Proficiency with Java, TestNG, Selenium, and/or Playwri ght.DevOps Literacy: Comfort working with GitHub workflows and modern collaborative Git practi ces.AI Tooling Interest: Familiarity with, or a strong desire to learn, AI-assisted IDEs (like Cursor) including the use of custom rules, skills, and pl ans.Technical Analysis: The ability to dissect system logs to diagnose software defects and articulate root cau ses.Strategic Autonomy: Confidence in making independent decisions regarding test coverage priority and technical debt managem ent.Clear Communication: Exceptional documentation skills, specifically for writing clear bug replication steps and test automation sp ecs.
