What You'll Be Do ing:• Building backend applications using TypeScript and Nod e.js• Designing and developing REST and GraphQL APIs• Creating scalable middleware that enables communication between software and connected dev ices• Developing cloud-native solutions within AWS environm ents• Contributing to distributed systems architecture and platform de sign• Collaborating with engineering teams to improve software performance, maintainability, and code r euse• Participating in architecture discussions and technical design decis ions What We're Looking For:• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical disci pline• 5+ years of professional software development exper ience• Strong TypeScript and Node.js expe rtise• Experience building backend services, APIs, and microser vices• Solid understanding of asynchronous programming and reactive sy stems• Experience with cloud platforms, preferabl y AWS• Strong understanding of software design principles, testing, CI/CD, and version co ntrol• Excellent communication s killsPreferred Experi ence:• AWS Serverless Archite cture• Distributed Sy stems• N estJS• Angular ( v13+)• IoT, device communication, networking, automation, industrial technology, or hardware-connected software environ ments• C++ development exper ienceLocat ion: Hybrid role for candidates located in the greater Chicago area.Compensat ion: Base salary around $140,000 plus profit sha ring.
