Position Overview The Senior Vice President, Strategic Partnerships, will be responsible for Rally LA, a strategic program in collaboration with Deloitte Consulting. Rally LA, an initiative designed to support economic resilience across Los Angeles in connection to the major sporting events coming to the region. Rally LA aims to bring together corporates, nonprofits, government, and community partners to deliver the capabilities, connections, capacity, and visibility that small businesses need to access indirect opportunities before, during, and after 2028. The role will be responsible for managing the project's governance, coalition-building, cohort programming, and communications. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Team Performance · Lead the day-to-day execution of the program plan. Supervise the team, collaborate with partners. · Provide hands-on coaching, training, and development for all program elements, reinforcing disciplined and consistent use of the Chamber's processes. · Set clear expectations, activity standards, and performance accountability rooted in the Chamber's established operating framework. · Develop long-term plans that support sustainable growth, continuity, and consistency. · Partner with senior leadership across the Chamber: Marketing, Events, and Public Policy to ensure coordination. Governance · Design and draft the governance structure for Rally LA · Engage partners and incorporate into the governance structure and groups required to advance broader initiative · Manage meeting cadences, agendas, and speaker across governance groups Small Business Cohort Program Design & Management · Work with small business partners and manage the design and management of cohort programs · Coordinate the small business grant application process including the recruitment of small businesses · Lead cohort program delivery Small Business Ecosystem Management · Define and design the small business ecosystem, work with partners to develop the ecosystem · Chair convenings for governance groups · Cultivate Corporate partners · Design a process for managing or tracking emerging indirect opportunities · Lead recruitment of collaborators within Chamber network · Lead onboarding, intake, and exploration of roles with all stakeholders Communication & Impact · Own Rally LA's public-facing brand and communication to stakeholders and cohorts · Collaborate with the Marketing department on all maintaining webpage, managing media relationships and press · Collect impact data from cohorts and corporates · Publish impact reports Qualifications & Competencies Leadership & Strategic Program Management · Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in Business, Public Administration, Public Policy, Economic Development, Nonprofit Management, or a related field preferred. · 7+ years of progressively responsible leadership experience in economic development, public-private partnerships, corporate social impact, community development, workforce development, business development, or a related field. · Demonstrated success managing complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives involving corporate, nonprofit, government, and community partners. · Experience designing and implementing large-scale programs from concept through execution, measurement, and continuous improvement. · Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, consultants, volunteers, and external partners while maintaining accountability for outcomes. · Strong project management skills with experience managing multiple priorities, timelines, budgets, and stakeholder expectations simultaneously. Partnership Development & Coalition Building · Proven track record of cultivating and managing executive-level relationships with corporate leaders, foundations, public sector agencies, elected officials, nonprofit organizations, and community stakeholders. · Demonstrated success securing strategic partnerships, sponsorships, investments, or collaborative agreements that advance organizational goals. · Experience convening and facilitating leadership councils, advisory groups, steering committees, or governance structures. Economic Development & Small Business Ecosystems · Experience supporting small business programs, grant initiatives, capacity-building programs, or entrepreneurial ecosystems. · Ability to identify emerging opportunities and connect stakeholders to resources, networks, and strategic partnerships. Professional Attributes · High degree of professionalism and comfort engaging with C-level executives, public officials, board members, philanthropic leaders, and community advocates. · Demonstrated commitment to follow-through, attention to detail, and accountability. · Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and presentation software. · Experience with CRM systems, project management software, and data reporting tools is preferred. · Must reside in the Greater Los Angeles region or be willing to relocate. · Ability to attend occasional evening and early morning meetings, community events, and partner engagements. · Valid California driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of automobile insurance. Compensation Exempt position, $150k based on experience.
