The hours are 3pm - 12am Blue Chip Talent is partnering with a leading enterprise organization to hire a Tier 1 Security Operations Center (SOC) Analyst. What You'll Do As a Tier 1 SOC Analyst, you'll serve as the first line of defense by monitoring security alerts, performing initial triage and investigation, and escalating incidents to senior analysts when necessary. You'll play a key role in protecting enterprise systems through continuous monitoring and incident response. Responsibilities: Monitor security events across endpoint, network, cloud, and DLP environments using SIEM tools Perform initial triage and investigation of security alerts following established SOC playbooks Escalate incidents to Tier 2, Tier 3, and SOC leadership when appropriate Assist with containment, mitigation, and remediation of security threats under senior analyst guidance Document investigations, findings, and actions taken within the ticketing system Contribute to SOC knowledge base articles and process documentation Collaborate with Security Engineering, Infrastructure, and Operations teams to improve detection and response capabilities Handle sensitive information in accordance with corporate security policies Qualifications: Experience working in a Security Operations Center (SOC) or Cybersecurity Analyst role Knowledge of security monitoring, incident response, and threat analysis Experience with SIEM platforms (Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, QRadar, or similar) Understanding of endpoint, network, cloud, and DLP security concepts Familiarity with ticketing systems and incident management processes Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills Ability to follow documented procedures while working in a fast-paced environment Preferred Qualifications Experience with Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Sentinel, CrowdStrike, or similar security tools Knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK, NIST, or other cybersecurity frameworks Security certifications such as Security+, CySA+, GSEC, or equivalent are a plus
