THE ROLE SUKOSHI is looking for an execution-focused Social Media Manager to lead the strategy, direction, and day-to-day performance of our social media channels. You will shape SUKOSHI's online identity by balancing overarching campaign strategy, recurring series, and platform-native storytelling, capitalize on trending conversations, product moments, and cultural shifts, and lead the content calendar and workflow. This is a full-time hybrid role based in Toronto. It requires periodic travel to GTA store locations, our Mississauga warehouse, creator events, store openings, and public locations. Timely publishing, community management, and event coverage outside regular Monday-to-Friday business hours will occasionally be required. WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE The successful candidate will: * Bring a clear and recognizable creative vision to SUKOSHI?s social channels. * Understand the difference between participating in a trend vs making it relevant to the brand. * Identify emerging conversations, formats, sounds, products, and cultural moments before they become oversaturated. * Move quickly from insight to concept to execution * Build repeatable content formats while maintaining enough flexibility to react in real time. * Understand how individual posts contribute to broader brand, audience, and commercial objectives. * Use performance data to sharpen creative instincts and build content strategy *RESPONSIBILITIES * Social Strategy and Creative Direction * Drive Creative Vision & Brand Identity * Spot emerging trends, sounds, and cultural moments early, * Build repeatable, high-performing content formats while staying flexible enough to react to real-time opportunities. * Daily tracking of social platforms, internet and pop culture, Asian beauty trends, and creator conversations. * Analyze key metrics (reach, engagement, watch time, conversions) using platform tools and Shopify. * Translate data into clear creative recommendations. * Make fast, independent creative decisions while maintaining brand safety and cultural sensitivity. Content Creation & Production * Ideate, direct, and oversee platform-native short-form video (TikTok, Instagram Reels, Stories). * Hands-On Execution: Jump into filming, editing, copywriting, voiceovers, and appearing on camera. * Creative Briefing & Feedback: Create actionable briefs for creators/partners * Event & Launch Coverage: Direct and support content capture for store openings, campaigns, product launches, and brand events. Channel & Community Management * Manage planned social scheduling while leaving room for real-time, reactive posts. * Brand Voice & Copy: Write and adapt engaging copy tailored to SUKOSHI?s tone across different platforms. * Active Engagement: Oversee comments, DMs, and community sentiment to generate follow-up content and maintain strong audience connection. * Off-Hours Coverage: Handle publishing and live event coverage outside standard business hours routinely. Collaboration & Workflow * Cross-Functional Alignment: Work closely with the Marketing Director, department managers, designers, store teams, ecommerce/ads, and external creators/agencies. * Manage small team of internal content creators and graphics designers * Process & Tooling: Maintain organized project track
