Software Engineer – Kubernetes, Cloud Infrastructure & Distributed Systems We are looking for a Software Engineer with deep Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure experience to help design, build, and evolve high-performance, distributed systems that power modern cloud-native platforms. In this role, you’ll work close to the Kubernetes control plane and ecosystem , building extensible, reliable infrastructure software used in production-scale environments. You’ll collaborate with engineers across platform, systems, and cloud teams to deliver robust orchestration and automation capabilities . This is an excellent opportunity for engineers who enjoy working deep in the stack , contributing to core Kubernetes functionality , and shaping the future of cloud-native infrastructure. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain Kubernetes-native infrastructure software Build and extend Kubernetes using custom controllers, Operators, CRDs, and API extensions Develop distributed systems and cloud infrastructure components in Go (Golang) or C/C++ Collaborate with platform and systems teams to improve scalability, reliability, and performance Debug complex issues across control plane, networking, and storage layers Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering , or related technical field 3+ years of professional software engineering experience in cloud infrastructure or distributed systems Strong proficiency in Go (Golang) or C/C++ Solid foundation in data structures, algorithms, and software design patterns Hands-on experience extending Kubernetes (custom controllers, Operators, CRDs, API aggregation) Preferred Qualifications Master’s or PhD in a relevant technical field Contributions to Kubernetes upstream or CNCF open-source projects Deep understanding of Kubernetes internals (scheduler, kubelet, etcd, networking) Experience with bare-metal provisioning or cluster lifecycle management (e.g., Cluster API, Tinkerbell) Familiarity with OCI standards , container runtimes ( containered, CRI-O ), and Linux internals Exposure to Linux kernel features such as cgroups, namespaces, and eBPF (a plus) Show more Show less
