Software Engineer

MUST BE LOCATED IN THE DALLAS-FT. WORTH METROPLEX. We are hiring a senior API platform leader to help establish governance, standards, and long-term strategy for APIs across a growing enterprise environment. This role is not a pure hands-on developer, we’re looking for someone who can own the API ecosystem, partner with Enterprise Architecture, and drive consistency across teams. Responsibilities Establish a central API ownership & governance model Standardize API design (URLs, payloads, versioning, security) Reduce performance, security, and partner risk as APIs scale externally Improve API reuse to lower development cost and redundancy Own and evolve the API platform strategy and governance framework Define and enforce API standards, lifecycle, and best practices Partner with Enterprise Architecture and engineering teams Drive consistency across APIs built by multiple teams Act as the go-to SME for API design, governance, and platform decisions Qualifications Senior-level experience designing RESTful APIs Strong experience with Azure API Management (APIM) or API gateways Proven expertise in API governance, standards, and lifecycle Background in Microsoft/.NET (C#) ecosystem Excellent technical communication and documentation skills Experience working with external/partner-facing APIs Background in platform engineering or enablement teams Ownership of API versioning and lifecycle strategy Familiarity with enterprise security patterns Show more Show less
