Software Engineer

Soni's client is seeking a Software Engineer to build and support backend applications, APIs, automation tools, and media workflows supporting enterprise production and asset management operations. This role focuses on workflow automation, systems integration, internal tooling, and platform modernization. Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain backend applications, REST APIs, and internal tools Build workflow automation for media ingest, metadata handling, asset preparation, and processing Support media asset management platforms, workflow enhancements, and system migrations Develop background job processing and workflow orchestration solutions Partner with engineering, operations, security, and IT teams on platform improvements Troubleshoot, test, deploy, and support workflow and application updates Create technical documentation and participate in Agile ceremonies Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience 5+ years of backend software development experience Strong experience with C#, .NET/.NET Core, ASP.NET, SQL Server, Web APIs, IIS, Windows Server, and Azure DevOps Experience with Angular and/or React Experience with REST APIs, automation scripting, and workflow orchestration Experience working in Windows and Linux environments Strong understanding of software architecture, databases, security, and networking Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills Ability to support critical systems during off-hours when needed Preferred Qualifications Experience with Python, Java, Perl, or Visual Basic Experience with media asset management or production workflow systems Experience modernizing legacy applications and supporting integrations Familiarity with AI/LLM integrations, authentication/security tools, and PostgreSQL Experience with high-speed file transfer tools such as Signiant or Aspera Show more Show less
