Software Engineer

About This Role As a Software Engineer at Soundtrace, you'll build and maintain the platform that tens of thousands of workers depend on for their hearing health. From audiometric testing workflows to real-time compliance dashboards, you'll work across the full stack to ship features that directly protect people. The specific tech stack can be shared during the interview process — assume common web technologies. What you'll do Build and improve features across our web and mobile applications Work across the full stack of a modern web platform — frontend, APIs, databases, and cloud infrastructure Collaborate closely with product, design, and clinical teams Ship code to production regularly with a focus on reliability and performance Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and sprint planning Help maintain and improve our testing, CI/CD, and monitoring systems Who you are 2 to 5 years of professional software engineering experience Solid grounding in common web technologies — modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks, server-side development, and relational databases Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup where you wear multiple hats Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Good communicator who can work effectively with non-technical teammates Nice to have Experience with mobile development Familiarity with healthcare or compliance software (HIPAA, SOC 2) Background in data visualization or real-time systems Experience with cloud infrastructure Why Soundtrace Build technology that prevents irreversible harm to real people Small engineering team = outsized impact and ownership Modern stack, no legacy baggage Competitive salary, equity, comprehensive benefits, and flexible PTO
