An innovative global financial services organization specializing in data analytics and digital transformation is seeking a seasoned Director of Solutions Architecture to lead the design, development, and implementation of scalable data, analytics, and workflow solutions across investment, asset management, and private equity functions. This leadership role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate complex business needs into robust technological architectures that drive operational efficiency, data integrity, and strategic decision-making. Role Overview The Director of Solutions Architecture will serve as a strategic technical leader within the Data & Analytics division, overseeing enterprise data models, platform strategies, and analytics workflows. The role emphasizes ownership of solution design, stakeholder collaboration, and guiding sustainable architecture standards across multiple investment and portfolio management platforms, ultimately shaping data-driven decision environments at a global scale. Key Responsibilities Define and steer the solution architecture, development roadmap, and strategic priorities for data systems, reporting, analytics, and workflow automation related to investment and portfolio management. Collaborate with senior business leaders, data teams, and platform engineers to develop scalable, pragmatic data solutions utilizing technologies like Snowflake, Power BI, Anaplan, Sigma, DataBricks, and related enterprise tools. Assess and optimize current data processes through redesign, automation, and advanced data modeling; identify system integration opportunities and manage dependencies across core platforms. Lead the end-to-end design of data pipelines, including ingestion, transformation, business logic implementation, and downstream analytics/reporting integration. Partner with data engineering, analytics, architecture, and product teams to validate solution requirements, ensure feasibility, and uphold architectural standards. Manage cross-functional project execution from conception through delivery, establishing scope, milestones, risk management, and resource planning. Influence platform selection and architectural frameworks to balance immediate tactical needs with long-term scalability objectives. Drive change management initiatives, including stakeholder communication, user training, and adoption strategies to ensure effective implementation of solutions. Cultivate strong relationships with business units and technical teams, translating technical architectures into business value propositions. Enforce governance standards, data quality initiatives, and issue resolution processes to maintain high data integrity and operational controls. Maintain comprehensive documentation for data definitions, workflows, business logic, and control procedures, supporting ongoing data quality and master data management programs. Core Qualifications & Requirements Minimum of 8 years’ experience in asset management, investment management, private equity, or related data analytics/digital transformation roles. Proven ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable data, analytics, and workflow solutions. Strong technical expertise with data platforms such as Snowflake, Power BI, Anaplan, Sigma, DataBricks, and enterprise systems. Hands-on experience with data modeling, source-to-target mapping, data governance, and data quality standards. Knowledge of Master Data Management (MDM), data lineage, reference data, and data stewardship practices. Demonstrated success leading end-to-end solution delivery projects, from requirements gathering to post-implementation optimization. Excellent project management skills, including scope control, risk mitigation, and stakeholder engagement. Strong communication skills, capable of translating technical concepts into business language across diverse teams. Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, ambiguous environments, applying sound judgment and problem-solving skills. Nice-to-Have Qualifications Experience within private equity, portfolio management, or investment reporting environments. Familiarity with portfolio performance metrics, valuation cycles, and private markets data workflows. Knowledge of planning, budgeting, and forecasting tools such as Anaplan. Experience with semantic modeling, KPI dashboards, DAX, and governance/reporting methodologies. Proven ability to document workflows, functional requirements, and architecture designs for future-state systems. Hands-on experience with data orchestration and governance platforms such as DataHub, Airflow, or similar tools.
