Key Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Conduct dimensional inspections of BIW components such as stamped parts and minor sub-assemblies and assemblies using various measurement tools and equipment (e.g., CMM, Laser Trackers, Inline Measurement Systems, Calipers, Micrometers and others)</li> <li>Define and implement corrective actions to reduce defects and improve process capability.</li> <li>Document inspection results and generate detailed summaries</li> <li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, and quality, to resolve dimensional issues</li> <li>Use GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles to interpret drawings and specifications.</li> <li>Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and manufacturing processes</li> <li>Create or modify CMM programs (commonly using software like PC-DMIS, Calypso, or PolyWorks) to automate part inspections.</li> <li>Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards in all inspection activities</li> <li>Compare actual data to CAD models or drawings and highlight deviations.</li> <li>Ensure traceability of measurement results for audits or reviews.</li> </ul> Skills: <ul> <li>Ability to work at the pace required while maintaining a high level of craftsmanship</li> <li>Must be able to stand for long periods of time during the repair of a vehicle</li> <li>Must be able to walk, sit, bend, push/pull, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach or crawl frequently.</li> <li>Must be able to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds</li> <li>Able to follow instructions in English, both written and verbal</li> <li>Available to work overtime, off-shifts or weekends, as needed</li> <li>Strong understanding of BIW tooling, fixtures, automation, joining and SPC, processes.</li> <li>Familiarity with CAD tools, MES systems, and plant-floor digital manufacturing platforms.</li> <li>Understanding of GD&T, DFM/DFA, quality tools like (G8D, 5why analysis, and automotive quality standards.</li> <li>Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams.</li> </ul> Minimum Qualifications: <ul> <li>Technical associate degree (automotive manufacturing preferred).</li> <li>Experience in dimensional inspection or quality control, preferably in the automotive industry is desirable</li> <li>Basic knowledge of using measurement tools and equipment</li> <li>Understanding of engineering drawings and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) is a plus</li> <li>Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills</li> <li>Good communication and teamwork abilities</li> <li>Basic knowledge of statistical analysis and quality control methodologies</li> <li>Familiarity with BIW processes and components is a plus</li> <li>Basic Microsoft Office knowledge (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)</li> <li>Minimum of 4–6 years of relevant experience.</li> </ul>  <div class="content-conclusion"><div> Compensation & Benefits: Lucid offers a comprehensive and competitive <a href="https://mylucidbenefits.com/">benefits package</a> including medical, dental, and vision insurance; life and disability coverage; paid time off; paid holidays; and a 401(k) retirement plan.
