The environment is professional, collaborative, and focused on high-impact client outcomes. Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a System Administrator at Force 10 Partners. The System Administrator will manage, monitor, and maintain servers, endpoints, user accounts, and core business applications to ensure secure and reliable operations. Daily responsibilities include handling system configuration, patching, backups, and updates; monitoring system performance; and proactively resolving issues to minimize downtime. The role includes providing technical support to team members, troubleshooting hardware, software, and connectivity problems, and escalating issues to vendors when needed. The System Administrator will also assist with network administration tasks, user onboarding and offboarding, access management, and implementation of security and compliance best practices. Collaboration with leadership and external partners to improve IT processes, documentation, and tools is an important part of this position. Qualifications Strong System Administration skills, including server management, user account administration, backups, and system monitoring. Proficiency in Troubleshooting and Technical Support, including diagnosing hardware, software, and connectivity issues and supporting remote users. Experience with Network Administration, such as basic routing and switching, VPNs, firewalls, and network performance monitoring. Broad Information Technology knowledge, including operating systems (Windows/macOS, possibly Linux), cloud services, and collaboration tools. Familiarity with security best practices, including patch management, endpoint protection, access control, and data protection. Excellent documentation, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to support non-technical users clearly and respectfully. Ability to work independently in a remote environment, prioritize multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced professional services setting. Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+/Network+/Security+, Microsoft, or similar) and prior experience in a professional services or financial environment are beneficial. Show more Show less
