Position Summary: The Systems Administrator I supports the Infrastructure and Help Desk teams by installing, configuring, and maintaining IT systems, equipment, and core services. This role provides Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support to shipmates and ensures reliable, secure, and efficient operation of company technology across both cloud and on‑premises environments. Duties and Responsibilities: Administer Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Entra ID user and group management. Manage and maintain Windows Server, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and file/print services. Configure endpoints, user accounts, permissions, shared resources, and system access in accordance with company standards. Administer basic network infrastructure components, including wireless access points, switches, firewalls, and VPN connectivity, under established procedures. Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 escalation support for Help Desk tickets, ensuring timely resolution and high-quality customer service. Responsible for the day-to-day aspects of keeping backend systems running smoothly Create and maintain accurate technical documentation, SOPs, and configuration records. Additional job duties as assigned Requirements & Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in IT or technical equivalent experience required 1-2 years’ experience managing critical IT systems including configuring and updating: Office 365 Suite (Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, Azure AD/Entra, Teams) Server Administration (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, KMS, Group Policies, IIS) PowerShell or scripting for automation and system management Desktop Administration (Windows, Mac) Network technologies (switches, firewalls, Wi-Fi, VPN, cellular) Identity Providers and related 3rd party integrations experience Linux experience is a plus Grooming: All crew members must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance (specific standards available in the Employee Handbook). Physical Demands: Ability to bend, rotate, reach, and climb stairs/ladders. Ability to maneuver through confined vessel areas. Must maintain balance and perform emergency duties as required. Work Environment: Remote position with periodic onsite work in marine environments. Exposure to varying temperatures, weather conditions, and moderate to loud noise levels. Occasional evening/weekend work and maintenance windows. Participation in on-call rotation and emergency response. Ability to travel to vessels and sites. Show more Show less
