About Us: Advanced Taxidermy has been a leader in the industry for 40 years, established in 1986. Born from a passion for nature, hunting, and fishing, we offer a full line of high-quality taxidermy services, including big game, life-size mounts, shoulder mounts, birds, mammals, reptiles, fish, as well as reproductions, dioramas, murals, and custom carpentry. The business operates out of a state of the art studio, recently built in 2022. Job Summary: We are currently seeking an experienced, self-sufficient Taxidermist to join our team. This position is not an apprenticeship or training program. Applicants must have extensive, hands-on experience and be capable of managing the entire taxidermy process independently, from start to finish. Key Responsibilities: * Prepare and mount skins of animals (especially mammals) for preservation, scientific, or display purposes. * Handle all stages of the taxidermy process: skinning, fleshing, tanning, form alterations, fitting and mounting hides. * Maintain inventory of birds, mammals, reptiles, and fish. * Assist with research and inventory documentation. * Complete all work efficiently and to a high standard. Requirements: * Minimum 4 years of professional taxidermy experience. * Proven experience in life-size mammals and shoulder mounts * Manual dexterity and attention to detail are essential.
