Responsibilities In this role the Technical Lab Specialist will perform the following job duties: Assist Supervisor in planning, scheduling, coordinating and problem solving in the assigned Laboratory area. Involve with instrument validation, correlations, new procedures, and special projects. Perform laboratory procedures, some requiring advance knowledge and skills. Operate lab instrumentation to provide clinical data for use in treatment and diagnosis of disease. Make independent judgment decisions in the reporting of normal and abnormal results. Set up new Quality Control (QC) lots and review quality control routinely. Assist with competencies. Schedule FTE: 1.0 Hours: 8:00am-5:00pm Days: Monday-Friday Qualifications Required Education: Bachelor's degree Specific course work: Bachelor's degree in Human Science (such as biology, chemistry, medical technology, and clinical/medical laboratory science) Necessary Skills Practices Hospitality Training Possesses critical thinking skills Good verbal and written communication skills Required Licensure/Certifications: Florida licensure as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist or Supervisor
