Terraform Engineer

Must be USC/GC/GC EAD This is a 6-month contract-to-full-time employee opportunity. The role is fully remote for the first 12 months, after which the candidate will be expected to relocate to Springfield, MO and work on-site. Long-term remote employment is not available, so candidates must be open to relocation as part of the position. Capstone IT is helping our client find a Senior Terraform Engineer who will lead the design, development, and governance of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform in a cloud environment. This person will build and maintain reusable Terraform modules, support production infrastructure changes, integrate Terraform into CI/CD pipelines, and help establish best practices for safe, scalable cloud automation. The role also serves as a technical leader, mentoring engineers and participating in cloud architecture decisions. Top 4 Skills Terraform (expert-level) Google Cloud Platform (GCP) CI/CD Pipeline Integration Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Architecture & Automation Qualifications Required Bachelor's or Master's degree in IT or equivalent experience. 6+ years of overall IT experience. 4+ years of hands-on Terraform experience. Experience integrating Terraform with CI/CD pipelines. 4+ years of cloud platform experience (GCP, AWS, or Azure). Strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code principles. Nice to Have Google Cloud Platform (GCP) experience. Terraform certifications. Experience with Ansible, Puppet, or similar automation tools.
