Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle. Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption. Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Air Brakes Endorsement. Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks). Class 3/3F/DF Licence (trailer truck, vehicles with more than 3 axles). Air Brake (Z) Endorsement. Driver's License (Class 1 or A). Driver's License (Class 3 or D). Documentation knowledge: Accident or incident reports. Dangerous goods occurrence reports. Driver logbook. Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip). Maintenance and repair reports. Trip reports. Type of trucking and equipment: Flatbed. Straight truck (4,600kg+ or 10,000lbs+ with 3+ axles). Communication systems experience: Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment. Transportation/travel experience: Local. Short-haul. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Driver's validity licence check. Driving record check (abstract). Drug test. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence.
