Must be eligible for CBP BI. Citizenship: U.S. Citizen required About the Opportunity Our client is seeking a UI Front-End Developer to support a federal program in Ashburn, VA. This is a hands-on front-end development role focused on building modern, high-performing single page applications using JavaScript frameworks and libraries. The developer will work closely with users, technical teams, and stakeholders in an Agile environment to design, build, test, deploy, and monitor applications. This is a highly technical position, and candidates should be prepared for a peer-level technical review of their skills and experience. The Role The UI Front-End Developer will be responsible for developing reusable components, front-end libraries, and responsive user interfaces with strong performance requirements. The ideal candidate has recent Angular experience, strong HTML5, CSS, JSON, and state management experience, and the ability to work across the full application development lifecycle. This person should be comfortable working in a matrixed team environment and communicating technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Build single page applications using modern JavaScript frameworks and libraries Develop and maintain reusable front-end components and libraries Support the full application development lifecycle, including design, coding, testing, deployment, and monitoring Work with users in an Agile development environment to understand requirements, gather feedback, and refine solutions through demonstrations Use modern software engineering tools and methodologies, including Visual Studio, Jira, and Confluence Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy applications in cloud environments using DevOps tools Develop components and layouts with a strong focus on performance, usability, and scalability Participate in technical reviews and contribute to front-end development best practices Communicate technical information clearly to internal teams, external stakeholders, and non-technical audiences Required Qualifications Active Top Secret Clearance Required Must be eligible for CBP BI Strong experience with HTML5, JSON, CSS, and CSS frameworks Recent 5 years of experience developing front-end applications using Angular Angular version 12 or above preferred Advanced experience with UI performance tuning and component/layout design Strong understanding of HTML5, CSS3, Flexbox, Flexgrid, SASS, JSON, and theme development 2 years of experience with state management using NgRx Experience developing reusable components and libraries, including building NPM packages Experience working with microservices design patterns Experience with Git operations, including branching and merging Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and creative solution development skills Ability to develop and maintain components with stringent performance requirements Ability to communicate effectively across internal and external organizations Ability to convey technical information to non-technical individuals Must work well in a matrixed team environment Preferred Experience Experience Designing And Implementing J2EE Software Applications Experience querying databases using SQL Experience developing unit tests using frameworks such as Jest and ng-mocks Familiarity with backend development, including Spring Boot RESTful services and microservices Familiarity with Spring Cloud Experience with Java or Python Familiarity with automation testing tools such as Cypress, Selenium, and JMeter Education Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field is required.
