Unix Linux System Administrator

Job Title: System Administrator (Unix/Linux) Client: Optum / UHC Location: Remote (with occasional onsite requirement in Arlington, TX) Duration: Contract ASAP until 12/31/2026 (with potential extension based on performance and client requirements) Work Setup Fully remote role Candidate must be able to travel to the client data center in Arlington, TX within 2 hours if required Data center support is not on-call and only required during business hours Visits are ad hoc, only if issues arise Standard Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM CST Key Skills Required Strong Unix/Linux System Administration experience Hands-on experience with: Shell scripting (Unix scripting) Cron job scheduling and troubleshooting Experience in production environment support and monitoring Candidate Profile We are targeting true System Administrators, not candidates focused on DBA or development work.
