The Project Manager will manage labour, purchasing, supplier and subcontractor coordination, scheduling, and financials of assigned projects across the GTA and work collaboratively with the assigned project coordinator and site team. The Project manager will have a focus on plumbing, and HVAC/R, in ICI sectors and will be responsible for managing client, supplier, and subcontractor relationships in a professional manner. Your work will include (Duties / Responsibilities) Project Management * Manage various sizes of mechanical projects and effectively manage the site labour workforce with the general foreperson & forepersons. * Attend client, construction, and job site progress meetings; monitor schedules and update our project management software. * Work with and interpret mechanical drawings, shop drawings, as-built drawings, and specs. * Working with our project management software to update all meeting notes, pictures, project progress etc. Stakeholder relationships * Support the project foreperson by developing a strong working relationship and providing project execution guidance for assigned projects together with the general foreperson. * Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to develop project plans and specifications, whilst maintaining strong relationships. * Build and strengthen subcontractor and supplier relationships; review contracts for scope, maintain productivity, quality, and costs, and ensure the projects are completed in a manner that supports the overall strategic and operational objectives of the company. Coordination * Support the project coordinator to procure necessary materials, equipment, and resources for project execution and scheduling project activities, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets. * Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide project updates, addressing any issues or concerns. Safety * Ensure Horizon Mechanicals? safety standards are always communicated, adhered to, and certificates are up to date. What you bring: * Bachelor?s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. * 5+ Years of proven project management experience within the mechanical contracting sector (ICI experience required). * Comfortable in managing multiple projects simultaneously with a proven track record of successfully prioritizing tasks based on demand and deadlines. * Demonstrated experience in project finance administration (budgeting, job cost reviews, contract management). * Technical knowledge of mechanical scopes, building code requirements, and health & safety standards. * Outstanding problem-solving, communication, and negotiation skills under pressure. * Valid Driver?s License and your own reliable transport. * Familiarity with project/construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
