Vice President Strategic Partnerships
Description
Vice President, Strategic Partnerships Job Type: Full-time Location: Remote, U.S. | Preferred Location: Raleigh, NC Industry: Insurance, Reinsurance, Banking, Structured Credit, Capital Markets About the Role: Zaddy Solutions is partnering with our client to identify a Vice President, Strategic Partnerships . This is an opportunity to join a highly respected company with a strong culture, long-term employee retention, and meaningful growth opportunity. The client is specifically seeking someone with a banking, financial institution, insurance, reinsurance, structured credit, or institutional partnerships background who can bring both relationship credibility and transaction execution experience to the table. This is currently an individual contributor role, but the position has growth potential as the company continues to expand its strategic partnership and corporate development function. The right candidate has done the full deal lifecycle: sourcing the opportunity, building the relationship, shaping the structure, coordinating internal stakeholders, and driving execution through close. What Makes This Opportunity Different: This role sits at the intersection of strategic partnerships, institutional finance, insurance/reinsurance, structured credit, and corporate development. The company is looking for someone who can help shape its growth strategy by assessing new business opportunities, identifying industry trends, and building relationships with key external partners across banks, insurers, reinsurers, funds, asset managers, lenders, and other institutional counterparties. This is not a role for someone who has only supported deals after they were already in motion. The client needs someone who can bring market intelligence, existing relationships, strategic judgment, and execution discipline from the earliest stages of an opportunity through transaction close and operational launch. Candidates with experience in banking partnerships, financial institution relationships, structured credit, international banking, insurance-linked structures, or regulatory environments may be especially strong fits. What You Will Own: Strategic Partnership Development
- You will build and manage relationships with insurers, reinsurers, banks, lenders, asset managers, funds, life insurance companies, pension plans, endowments, sovereign wealth funds, and other institutional partners. Opportunity Sourcing
- You will proactively identify new partnership opportunities, financing relationships, insurance and reinsurance structures, joint ventures, acquisitions, and other strategic growth initiatives. Transaction Structuring
- You will help develop and shape partnership concepts and transaction structures that align with the company’s risk appetite, capital framework, long-term objectives, and execution capacity. Executive Partnership Support
- You will partner closely with senior leadership during early-stage conversations with institutional counterparties, bringing market-informed perspective, relationship intelligence, and strategic recommendations. Deal Execution
- You will take ownership of opportunities as they progress from initial concept through diligence, transaction planning, internal approval, closing, and operational launch. Cross-Functional Coordination
- You will work across underwriting, risk, legal, finance, operations, and executive teams to move initiatives forward and ensure that partnerships are practical, executable, and sustainable. Financial and Strategic Analysis
- You will build financial models, prepare summaries, evaluate transaction economics, and develop presentation materials for senior leadership and internal stakeholders. Market Research and Recommendations
- You will continuously evaluate new market sectors, partnership models, acquisition opportunities, and business development paths, then recommend whether to proceed, restructure, defer, or discontinue based on strategic alignment, feasibility, and risk. Experience We Are Targeting: The strongest candidates will bring 10+ years of experience in banking, insurance, reinsurance, investment management, structured credit, capital markets, corporate development, or a related financial services field. You have a proven track record of originating and executing complex transactions with institutional partners. You have experience working directly with banks, non-bank lenders, insurers, reinsurers, asset managers, funds, or other financial institutions. You understand how to move from relationship development into transaction structure, diligence, execution planning, and closing. You bring significant experience in one or more of the following areas: insurance, reinsurance, structured credit, capital markets, institutional investments, corporate finance, strategic partnerships, or transaction execution. You have strong analytical skills and can evaluate complex opportunities, build financial models, and provide clear recommendations to senior leadership. You bring executive presence and can engage credibly with C-suite leaders, internal stakeholders, and external institutional partners. A bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business, or a related discipline is required. Preferred Background: MBA or other advanced degree. Experience working at the intersection of corporate strategy, capital markets, insurance/reinsurance, and corporate finance. Established relationships with bank and non-bank lenders. Familiarity with mortgage insurance, insurance-linked securities, structured products, structured credit, or related financial services sectors. International banking, regulatory, or institutional finance exposure. Backgrounds that may align well include banking, international financial institutions, insurance/reinsurance, structured products, and institutional capital markets. Skills and Working Style: This person needs to be relationship-driven and transaction-capable. The client needs someone who can source opportunities, build trust with institutional partners, and stay engaged through deal structure and execution. The right candidate can operate with senior leadership, external counterparties, and cross-functional internal teams without needing a large team underneath them. They should be comfortable evaluating ambiguity, pressure-testing partnership concepts, and determining whether an opportunity is worth pursuing, restructuring, pausing, or walking away from. They need to be commercially sharp, analytically strong, and able to translate complex financial structures into clear recommendations. This is also a growth-minded role. The position is an individual contributor seat today, but the company sees meaningful long-term opportunity for the right person. Why This Role Matters: This is an opportunity to help shape the company’s next stage of growth through strategic partnerships, institutional relationships, and complex transaction execution. The right person will bring a valuable network across banking, insurance, reinsurance, capital markets, structured credit, and institutional finance. For someone who has sourced, structured, and executed complex deals with financial institutions, this is a chance to step into a high-trust role with senior leadership visibility and long-term growth potential.
