Web Designer & Developer

The Shumaker Technology Group is a leading provider of websites for the government and small business sectors. We are currently seeking a highly motivated Web Designer & Developer to join our team. This role blends design and development work across a portfolio of municipal and small business websites, including: ADA / Web Accessibility (WCAG 2.1 AA) User Experience Design (Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud) Content Management Systems (WordPress) Front End Development (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery) Applicants should have a solid understanding of front-end development languages and UX/UI design principles, along with an eye for clean, accessible design. Responsibilities include designing and building new websites, performing accessibility audits and remediation, updating and maintaining existing client sites, and collaborating with the development team to translate designs into functional, standards-compliant pages. Location: In-person at our office located in Lansing, MI. Travel: Occasional travel will be required, including some overnight or multi-day trips.
