Our team provides website design, digital marketing, SEO, paid advertising, content development, branding, technology consulting, and operational support. We are looking for a Web Designer who combines strong visual instincts with a practical understanding of front-end website development. This person will help create, update, and maintain professional websites and landing pages for Growth Sherpa Consulting and our clients. Position Overview The Web Designer will work closely with our marketing, content, SEO, and leadership teams to design websites that are visually engaging, easy to use, mobile responsive, and built to support measurable business goals. The ideal candidate has experience working with HubSpot and WordPress, understands HTML and CSS, and is comfortable making basic PHP and JavaScript updates. This is a strong opportunity for someone who wants hands-on experience across website design, development, optimization, analytics, and digital marketing. We are not looking for someone who only creates mockups. We need someone who can take a design concept and help turn it into a functional, polished website. Responsibilities Design and build websites, landing pages, forms, and other digital experiences Create and edit pages within HubSpot CMS and WordPress Customize website themes, templates, modules, and page layouts Use HTML and CSS to resolve design issues and create custom page elements Make basic PHP and JavaScript updates when needed Translate wireframes, brand guidelines, and creative concepts into responsive web pages Ensure websites function properly across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices Support website launches, migrations, redesigns, and ongoing maintenance Troubleshoot layout, formatting, plugin, form, and functionality issues Work with the SEO team to implement page titles, meta descriptions, heading structures, internal links, redirects, and other on-page recommendations Improve website speed, usability, accessibility, and conversion performance Build and test calls to action, contact forms, landing pages, and lead-generation pathways Coordinate with writers, graphic designers, paid advertising specialists, and account leaders Complete website updates accurately and within established deadlines Conduct quality assurance reviews before publishing new pages or website changes Maintain organized documentation for website credentials, plugins, themes, integrations, and updates Required Qualifications One to three years of experience in web design, front-end development, or a related field Experience working within HubSpot CMS Experience building or maintaining WordPress websites Working knowledge of HTML and CSS Basic understanding of PHP and JavaScript Understanding of responsive and mobile-first design Ability to follow established brand guidelines and design systems Strong attention to detail and visual consistency Ability to troubleshoot technical and design-related website issues Experience using design tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva, or similar platforms Ability to manage multiple projects and communicate clearly with team members A portfolio demonstrating website design or development experience Preferred Qualifications HubSpot certifications or experience building custom HubSpot modules Experience with WordPress page builders such as Elementor, Divi, WPBakery, or Gutenberg Familiarity with Advanced Custom Fields and custom post types Understanding of technical and on-page SEO fundamentals Familiarity with website accessibility and WCAG standards Experience using Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and Google Search Console Experience connecting websites with CRM platforms, call-tracking systems, scheduling tools, or marketing automation platforms Familiarity with website hosting platforms, DNS settings, SSL certificates, redirects, and domain management Experience working in an agency or consulting environment Comfortable exploring best use cases with AI tools like Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or ChatGPT Interest in behavioral health, healthcare, or mission-driven organizations What Success Looks Like A successful Web Designer at Growth Sherpa Consulting creates websites that look professional, function reliably, and support each client’s broader marketing strategy. Within this role, you will be expected to continue developing your technical skills, contribute ideas, accept feedback, and become increasingly confident managing website projects from concept through launch.
