This role involves building new features, enhancing performance, and ensuring secure, scalable solutions across marketing and informational websites. The ideal candidate brings strong WordPress engineering expertise , thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is comfortable working with AI-driven development workflows to accelerate delivery without compromising quality. Required Qualifications 5+ years of experience in WordPress development Strong proficiency in PHP and JavaScript (modern ES6+) Hands-on experience building custom themes and plugins Deep understanding of WordPress architecture (hooks, APIs, Gutenberg/block editor, REST API) Solid knowledge of HTML, CSS, accessibility, and web standards Experience working on enterprise or high-traffic websites Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration Preferred Qualifications Experience with enterprise WordPress platforms or large-scale digital ecosystems Familiarity with structured deployment workflows ( Git, CI/CD ) Exposure to AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude, Copilot, DevMate or similar) Background in media, technology, or consumer-facing platforms Responsibilities Develop, maintain, and enhance WordPress site functionality using PHP and modern JavaScript Design and build custom WordPress themes and plugins from the ground up Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues across existing codebases Optimize site performance, responsiveness, and scalability for high-traffic environments Translate business requirements into robust, scalable technical solutions Conduct code reviews and maintain documentation aligned with best practices Follow secure coding standards and proactively mitigate risks Leverage AI tools to improve development speed, code quality, and efficiency Show more Show less
