About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled Remote WordPress Developer to join our client's team. The ideal candidate will possess over four years of professional experience in full-stack development, with a focus on deploying and managing WordPress applications within cloud environments such as AWS. This role requires a candidate with a solid understanding of modern web technologies including JavaScript, React.js, and Node.js, combined with hands-on experience in hosting, deploying, and maintaining WordPress sites in cloud infrastructures. The successful applicant will play a key role in developing scalable, secure, and efficient WordPress solutions, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. Additionally, familiarity with DevOps practices and tools like Terraform, Kubernetes, and Ansible is essential for automating deployment pipelines and managing containerized applications. The position offers the opportunity to work remotely, supporting federal contracts that require Public Trust clearance eligibility, making it suitable for candidates with a background supporting government or federal projects. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of four years of professional experience in full-stack web development. Proven experience hosting and deploying WordPress applications in AWS or similar cloud environments. Strong proficiency in JavaScript, React.js, Node.js, and related web technologies. Hands-on experience with DevOps tools such as Terraform, Kubernetes, and Ansible. Experience in building, deploying, and managing containerized applications in cloud environments. Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance. Experience supporting federal or government contracts is preferred. Responsibilities Design, develop, and deploy WordPress websites and applications that are scalable, secure, and high-performing. Manage hosting and deployment of WordPress sites within AWS or similar cloud platforms, ensuring optimal uptime and performance. Implement and maintain DevOps pipelines using tools like Terraform, Kubernetes, and Ansible to automate deployment and infrastructure management. Build and deploy containerized applications, ensuring seamless integration within cloud environments. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including designers, project managers, and security specialists to deliver high-quality solutions. Monitor and troubleshoot application issues, performing regular updates and security patches to maintain system integrity. Contribute to documentation and best practices for deployment, security, and maintenance of WordPress applications. Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve development processes and solutions.
