About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Developer to join our remote team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing resilient, scalable, and secure code capable of supporting high-profile websites and handling intense traffic loads. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including designers, product managers, and other developers, to architect and implement innovative solutions that enhance our platform's performance and reliability. The ideal candidate possesses expert-level proficiency in PHP, CSS, JavaScript, and HTML, along with extensive WordPress experience. Your deep understanding of both frontend and backend technologies, automated testing practices, and CLI skills will be instrumental in delivering high-quality software solutions that meet our strategic objectives. Qualifications The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience working within the WordPress ecosystem, demonstrating a strong track record of leading technical teams and mentoring junior developers for at least 2 years. You should have at least 2 years of hands-on experience with React and a comprehensive understanding of the product development lifecycle. A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is required. You must have exceptional organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work independently in a remote environment. Proficiency in modern PHP practices, including autoloading, dependency management, dependency injection, templating libraries, automated testing, object-oriented programming, and frameworks like Symfony or Laravel, is essential. Additionally, you should possess mid to advanced JavaScript skills, including experience with webpack, Babel, ES2015+ syntax, and vanilla JavaScript. Strong HTML and CSS skills, especially with PostCSS or Sass and BEM methodology, are also necessary. Familiarity with design systems, automated testing frameworks, Linux environments, and a passion for continuous improvement are highly valued. Responsibilities Your primary responsibilities will include developing new software solutions and maintaining existing applications to ensure they are robust and scalable. You will collaborate with stakeholders to gather and understand requirements, translating them into technical specifications and actionable tasks. Creating, reviewing, and updating technical documentation will be essential to maintain clarity and knowledge sharing across teams. Staying current with emerging technologies, industry best practices, and applying them to improve our platform is a key aspect of this role. You will write comprehensive tests to validate code functionality, execute bug fixes, and measure the effectiveness of implemented solutions. Troubleshooting and triaging issues, documenting problems, and working proactively to resolve them will be part of your routine. Additionally, you will participate in code reviews, contribute to architectural decisions, and ensure that all deliverables adhere to quality standards and security best practices. Benefits GrabJobs offers a competitive salary package ranging from $60,000 to $90,000 USD annually, commensurate with experience and skill set.
