Wordpress Specialist

Position Summary: John Guilfoil Public Relations seeks a Wordpress Specialist to join our Website Division with website design (blocks and custom/css), moderate Wordpress development, day-to-day updates/edits as requested by clients, transferring of data to new sites and new website builds. The Wordpress Specialist position is an excellent role for someone looking to enter the field of Website Marketing and Design and who has an interest in government communication. Candidates should have the skills needed to build out new websites for our client base from the beginning stages or meeting with the clients to understand their wants and needs, to exploring templates and layouts, building out a Wordpress website and ultimately launching a new and advanced website. Key Duties and Responsibilities: Develop and Design Wordpress websites with moderate functionality Membership sites, news/event portals, agency websites, event ticketing, LMS Custom Fields experience a plus Work with the team on existing client websites and new website creation. Partner with Account Teams to troubleshoot client website errors and problems as they arise. Other duties and special projects as assigned. Qualifications Understanding of the Wordpress platform & navigating the backend dashboard with Gutenberg Blocks and other editors. Design eye and development skill from kickoff to launch Knowledge of Wordpress Plugins such as Gravity Forms, Events Calendar Pro, Paid Memberships Pro, Advanced Forms, ACF, etc. Exhibit the ability to effectively communicate and demonstrate organizational skills Familiarity with the Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Photoshop Familiarity with Canva Familiarity with Social Media Platforms such as; Facebook, Instagram, X, and LinkedIn Familiarity with Cloudflare HTML, CSS, Javascript and PHP experience a plus Skills and Attributes Ability to work positively and collaboratively with co-workers and clients Ability to work in a team environment and maximize input effectively across all levels Ability to work independently with managers oversight Self-motivated Effective time management skills to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously Committed to the company’s vision, mission and strategic goals Intermediate knowledge of WordPress themes and plugins,  graphic design software, Supervised By: JGPR Vice President Kristen Potter Salary: Competitive based on skills and experience, starting at $50,000 per year plus benefits
