About The Role We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Volunteer Web Developer with experience in WordPress to assist in the redesign and development of our website, courthousedogs.org. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a meaningful cause by enhancing our online presence and making our resources more accessible to the community. As a Volunteer Web Developer, you will work closely with our team to implement a new website layout, improve user experience, and ensure the site’s functionality aligns with our organizational goals. Your technical expertise will directly impact our ability to reach more people, promote awareness, and facilitate donations and volunteer engagement. Qualifications Proven experience working with WordPress, including theme and plugin customization Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and basic PHP or JavaScript Familiarity with website accessibility standards, security protocols, and performance optimization best practices Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment Previous experience with content migration and website cleanup is a plus All experience levels are welcome to apply, and we value enthusiasm and a commitment to our mission above all.
