Job Title: Cloud Engineer Job Summary We are seeking a Cloud Engineer to join our growing technology team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in cloud computing, infrastructure, and system administration. In this role, you will help design, deploy, monitor, and maintain cloud-based solutions while collaborating with software developers, DevOps engineers, and security teams to build scalable and secure cloud environments. Key Responsibilities Deploy, configure, and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Monitor cloud environments and troubleshoot infrastructure and application issues. Assist with cloud migration, deployment, and modernization initiatives. Implement and maintain virtual machines, storage, networking, and cloud services. Support Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or AWS Cloud Formation. Collaborate with development teams to support CI/CD pipelines and application deployments. Ensure cloud environments adhere to security, compliance, and operational best practices. Perform system monitoring, performance tuning, and capacity planning. Document cloud configurations, procedures, and technical solutions. Stay current with cloud technologies and recommend process improvements. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related STEM field. 0–2 years of experience in cloud computing, IT infrastructure, systems administration, or DevOps (internships, co-ops, and academic projects are acceptable). Knowledge of at least one cloud platform: AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, load balancing, and firewalls. Familiarity with Linux and/or Windows Server administration. Experience with scripting or programming languages such as Python, Bash, PowerShell, or Java. Basic knowledge of Git and version control systems. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment. Preferred Qualifications AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner or AWS Solutions Architect – Associate. Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) or Azure Administrator Associate. Google Associate Cloud Engineer certification. Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or other CI/CD tools. Familiarity with monitoring tools such as CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Prometheus, or Grafana. Understanding of Identity and Access Management (IAM), cloud security, and compliance best practices.
