The Planet Group has partnered with a Boston area company to locate a Cybersecurity Analyst for a contract role. We are seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst to support day-to-day security operations within a complex enterprise environment. This role will play a key part in identity and access management, vulnerability remediation efforts, operational security support, and incident response activities. The ideal candidate combines strong technical troubleshooting skills with a customer-focused approach and enjoys working across multiple security technologies and business teams to help maintain a secure and compliant environment. Responsibilities Support daily cybersecurity operations and security service requests across the organization. Review, investigate, and resolve security-related tickets, access requests, and user account issues. Assist with identity and access management activities, including account provisioning, access reviews, role validation, and governance initiatives. Monitor and support vulnerability management programs by reviewing findings, prioritizing remediation efforts, and coordinating with technical teams. Participate in security incident response activities, including investigation, documentation, escalation, and resolution support. Maintain accurate operational documentation, audit records, and process workflows. Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and compliance teams to strengthen security controls and operational processes. Support email security, phishing prevention, and related security operations activities. Help identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and operational efficiencies. Ensure adherence to established security policies, standards, and regulatory requirements. Required Qualifications 2+ years of experience in cybersecurity, information security operations, security administration, IT support, or a related technical discipline. Experience supporting identity and access management processes within enterprise environments. Familiarity with vulnerability management programs and remediation tracking. Experience working with IT service management or ticketing platforms. Strong experience with Microsoft Defender. Understanding of core cybersecurity principles, including access control, vulnerability management, phishing protection, and incident response. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications Experience working within highly regulated environments. Familiarity with cloud identity platforms and modern authentication technologies. Knowledge of email security technologies and Microsoft 365 security capabilities. Industry certifications such as Security+ preferred but not required Experience with Rapid7 Show more Show less
