Lead, Senior Solutions Architect Salary: Open + bonus Location: McLean, VA Flexible Onsite: 5 days/week (6 remote weeks per year) We are unable to provide sponsorship for this role Qualifications Bachelor's degree 10+ years of software engineering experience, including hands-on experience with modern frameworks and technologies (e.g., Kubernetes, Kafka, Angular, Java, Python) 8+ years in a senior architectural or technical leadership role. This is a director level role as a single contributor. Deep experience in solution architecture, microservices, APIs, integration patterns, security best practices, micro-front ends, 12 factors, etc. Proven track record of designing and deploying scalable, cloud-native solutions within AWS, Azure, or GCP (AWS is preferred). Experience with building GenAI and AI solutions Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle, CI/CD, DevOps practices, and Agile methodologies. 3+ years of relevant large-scale enterprise transformation experience as relates to architecture preferred. Prior experience in the primary or secondary mortgage industry is desirable, with architecture experience in highly regulated industries (e.g., (finance, healthcare) required. Certifications in cloud architecture (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect Professional, etc.) are preferred Responsibilities Lead the design of complex, high-impact technical solutions across multiple systems and teams, contributing to the overall technology vision across Enterprise Risk. Partner with product and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into architectural blueprints and implementation roadmaps. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams, ensuring alignment with architecture principles and best practices. Own and evolve architectural standards, patterns, and documentation for long-term scalability and maintainability. Evaluate emerging technologies and make strategic recommendations aligned with business goals. Conduct architectural reviews and provide hands-on support when needed for technical decisions. Drive cross-functional alignment, balancing innovation, speed, and technical debt. Collaborate with the company's Enterprise Technology, Architecture, Data, and Security organizations to ensure solutions are aligned with enterprise standards and principles.
