Software Engineer II

Kavaliro is seeking a Software Engineer II to support a client in Maryland. Job Description: Kavaliro is seeking an experienced Senior Front-End Software Engineer to join our team supporting high-impact programs. The ideal candidate will have deep experience building and optimizing UI components and front-end applications in Angular, with a strong understanding of Java-based back-end systems and AWS cloud environments. Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain modern front-end applications using Angular. Collaborate with UX designers and back-end engineers to deliver seamless user experiences. Develop reusable UI components and libraries. Integrate front-end applications with Java-based APIs and AWS services. Optimize application performance and ensure responsive design across devices. Apply agile development principles and CI/CD best practices. Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues. Required Qualifications: 14+ years of experience as a Software Engineer (SWE) in programs of similar scope, type, and complexity. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline from an accredited college or university. Four (4) additional years of SWE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree. Extensive experience developing front-end applications with Angular. Proficient in Java for back-end integration. Experience working in AWS cloud environments. Strong understanding of front-end/UI architecture and best practices. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with CI/CD pipelines. Knowledge of UX/UI principles and responsive design. Familiarity with other modern front-end frameworks. Prior experience supporting mission-driven or IC programs.
