API Developer Location: Pittsburgh, PA- 100% onsite FROM DAY 1 An API Developer designs| builds| and maintains application programming interfaces that allow different software systems and services to communicate seamlessly. Key duties include developing RESTful or GraphQL endpoints| ensuring security and data encryption| and writing clear documentation. Core Responsibilities Design & Build: Create scalable| secure| and high-performance REST| SOAP| or GraphQL APIs. Integration: Connect internal platforms and third-party vendor services. Security: Implement robust authorization and authentication mechanisms like OAuth2| JWT| and API keys. Documentation: Produce clear technical guides and endpoint references using tools like Swagger or Postman. Testing & Debugging: Run unit and integration tests to resolve errors and optimize latency under high traffic. Required Skills and Qualifications Languages: Proficiency in backend languages such as Python| Java| Node.js| or C#. Architectural Styles: Deep knowledge of REST| microservices| and event-driven patterns. Databases: Experience with SQL (MySQL| PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB| Redis) systems.
